The thing is, my head is so full with trying to sell our house (so we can move up the street, don’t panic!) that I haven’t been posting. So, I’m catching up tonight a bit!
One of Abby’s little friends turns 3 tomorrow. I had a ton of ideas for what I wanted to do for her, but settled on the clothespin dolls idea that’s been floating around the internet (see here, here , here and here, just for starters!).

I love the one with purple hair. She seems so emo to me!
I made these during Abby’s nap and when she got downstairs and saw them, she flipped out. I sense we’ll be making a ton of these in the future. I scored the cool clothespins at the goodwill, used fabric scraps and sharpie pens of all colors and sizes.

And, way back when (several weeks ago), I made a banner for Abby’s birthday party. I didn’t want it to say “Happy Birthday” because then it could only be used on birthdays. No, I went with “celebrate” so it can be up more often. I really like how it turned out. I was clearly very influenced by Erin over at bluebird baby. I had a lot of fun with this project and was really happy with how it turned out!

It was kind of hard to photograph. I used cotton scraps I had around, used a rotary cutter with a pinking blade (so great!), felt letters that I wonder-undered on and then machine appliquéd, and a whole package of bias tape.

Thanks for Astrid’s b-day present. Astrid loves them.
