I’m back!

Trying to slide back into the swing of things! The biggest news I have is that our house did not sell in the time we alloted to have it on the market. I am equal parts relieved, sad and glad. I can tell you that I am so glad to be done keeping this house show ready! I will be leaving the house today with dishes on the counter, beds unmade and maybe a bra tossed on the floor for good measure.

I don’t have a juicy post in me about Austin. I can say this: I heard maybe 1 actual Texan accent while in Austin. . . what gives?! Mostly, I held a tiny baby. In fact, that’s about all I did because they could not tear me away from her. Being with a 7 week old that barely ever cries, sleeps for hours at a time and is generally easy going made me realize just how (hmmm. . . how do I put this?) spirited(?), sparky (?), uh, straight up cranky my little one was at that age! I really had tears in my eyes at some points over the weekend because I just CANNOT fathom that some babies are just HAPPY ALL OF THE TIME!

Tom’s side of the family met up and went to the zoo in Seattle when I got back from Texas.

Abby and her cousin Ethan had SO much fun. No naps, no crowds. We had the run of the place.
