Happy Mother’s Day
It’s become a bit of a tradition for me to sleep in on Mother’s Day. Then, I get to go downstairs and find my bouquet picked from our yard, my card (usually with a picture of Abby) and then we either go out to breakfast or my sweet man and little one have made it for me. Today was no deviation from the plan. But, this year, Abby was so much more excited to surprise me with art and gifts. It was a much more elaborate affair. She spent a lot of time picking just the right flowers for my bouquet and I was required to keep my eyes covered for the trip down the stairs.

Part of the Mother’s Day Card Picture from 2007. I just cut Tom right out of it because it was not such a good picture. He was near the peak of his illness last year. . . it’s pretty amazing that he was able to do anything for me that year.

Every year, I’ve jotted down the contents of my bouquet. It’s interesting to see what was in bloom each year. This year has been so cold that the typically included lilac was missing, but daffodils were aplenty.
Every year has been a joy. This year was no exception. And, as I type, Tom is making dinner. Who could ask for more!
