Whimsical Wednesdays: Update 2
Ackkk! Summer! She’s almost sort of over. . . except that we technically still have almost a month left. The weather here is definitely turning, more rain, a crispness in the air, chillier nights.
Abby and I have happily been plugging along on the Whimsical Wednesdays list. Here are a few of the finished products:
Sidewalk Chalk Paint: Easy, fun, A+

We were going to make our own stickers at some point, but Abby took the bull by the horns and put double-sided tape on the back of her drawing of a butterfly and called it a sticker. Good ’nuff.

I attempted letting Abby do finger print drawings a la Ed Emberley. In the end she went a little free form and we wound up with black (permanent. . .eek!) ink all over, well, everything. Here’s what she came up with.

We also put up the bird feeder and bird house.
We’ve got a little time left to eek out a few more things from the list. And, then, we’ll move on to Christmas ideas (shhhh. . . ).

Thanks for the sidewalk chalk paint idea. My girls and their friends LOVED it. And now my driveway is covered in lovely art! Their favorite application of the paint: splatter. This left really neat patterns on the driveway and a big mess on little girl legs. :-)
thanks for the lovely cornstarch/water/food coloring idea…saved my afternoon ;o)
