Foodie Friday: Pumpkins

October 30, 2009

It seriously sneaks up on me every year, this end of the season stuff.  Darn it all, I feel like I’m just getting into the swing of these fall veggies.  I’m really glad I’ll be getting a Thanksgiving share in a few weeks.  Phew.  Even though this is the last of my CSA shares and thus, the last of my “Foodie Friday” posts until Spring, you’ll still hear from me about food.  Oh yes.  There’s no running away from my obsession with food!
So, you may have some tiny pumpkins around from the last few weeks.  And, I have some ideas for them and/or other winter squash you might have.  I used half of a Carnival Squash in the waffle recipe, plan to try out the soup recipe soon and am so excited to have found, perhaps, the secret to yummy roasted pumpkin seeds!
