I’m lame.
Abby got a camera for Christmas. This is one of the many things it can do. It can also make your head all jagged like Bart Simpson. I'll refrain from sharing those pictures. . . they are far too creepy.
I know. People all over blog-land are posting their best pictures from 2009. There are lists of accomplishments, lists of thing people want to do this year, lists of a lot of things. And, I have ambitions. I have half-made lists in my head. But, I really don’t have anything for you yet. I’m stalled. And, really, I’m okay with that. The holidays were simultaneously rough and beautiful. I think this is true for a whole lot of people. . . beautiful and rough at the same time.
January is notoriously long in the Sanford home. For whatever reason, Tom seems to be away from home a lot in January. Things are going swimmingly. . . Abby is charming my socks off every.single.day. Seriously. The kid can have the entire moon (if it were mine to give) and my husband is probably the best husband in the universe. But, as there always is, there are other things that are zapping my energy away . . . so, the blog suffers.
I’m thinking I might start a list of things I didn’t do last year, or a list of things I have no intention of doing this year. Hmmm. . . that kinda seems fun. Stay tuned.

Relatedly: I’m kind of freaked out about seeing the number 2010 everywhere. Something about having an actual number (zero doesn’t count) in the tens spot makes it look awfully futuristic. Where the hell’s my floating car?
