360 Thursday :: Hole in the Wall

Friends, I’d like to invite you on a little video adventure. You take your camera (or phone), you press record, you slowly turn around and video what’s happening in your world. 360 degrees. It should be less than 1 minute. It should be an authentic capture of what’s happening in your world RIGHT NOW (or, really THIS WEEK).

This is low pressure, high fun. You can post just the vid or a series of pics and be done. You can blog about it or just do what I’m gonna do and post a few bullets. We’ll do it once a week on Thursdays? Yes? It’ll be awesome. Spread the word. (and tell me if someone else is doing this so I can join in. . . I CAN’T have been the first person to think of this!).

Hole in the Wall.

  • We left our home at 11am. . . arrived at the campsite by 2pm INCLUDING a 2 mile beach hike.
  • The kid (barely 70 lbs) carried about 20 pounds on her back.  She complained zero times on the way to the campsite. In her pack: Sleeping bag, sleeping pad, 2 water bottles, all of her clothes, a book, Old Maid cards, a few little special toys.
  • We arrived at 2pm and the kid didn’t fall asleep until 10pm. Do the math. . . that’s 8 hours of time to play on the beach without a friend, without toys, without the mp3 player or t.v. Unadulterated playwithsticksandrocks time.
  • The kid (made of flesh) was a bit tired the next day but threw her pack down only one time in frustration on the hike out. We fixed the problem and she proceeded to invite us to play a game of alphabet until we arrived back at the car.
  • Good show, Sanfords!

:) I don’t know that I’ve heard your voice before…so fun! I feel like I know you a little better now. I want to play…one of these days I’ll remember to take a quick video. Such a good reminder to stop and look around once in a while!
